BIFOLD: CNFLCT
Bi-Fold: Conflict will host a forum for presenters and members to discuss the way conflict shapes their artistic narrative, in both theory and practice.
The host for the evening will be Anthony Lappe, the executive editor of GNN, Guerilla News Network, an online source for news and critical commentary curated by GNN members. He is the author and creator of Shooting War, as well as the co-author of GNN’s book True Lies. The documentary he produced about the war in Iraq, Battleground: 21 Days on Empire’s Edge, aired on Showtime in 2004.
Also, LVHRD has selected designers (including me… yes shameless self promotion) to create posters inspired by the phrase, “Without conflict there can be no growth” using visual elements from the Veer library. The final designs will be on display at the event.
